Hoping to return to land of sand and sun, Chad.

Yes, we would like to return to Chad in March as we are really needed there then. At this time safety isn’t a big issue after the recent problems in Nigeria and Cameroon, all we can say is the Lord knows the future and we trust Him.  Weare excited to announce that two more indigenous languages of Chad dedicated their long awaited New Testaments. It was the culmination of over 25 years of hard work, trials, and many people around the globe partnering through prayers and finances. Youtoo have had a part in this! Thank you! More Chadians having access to God’s transforming Word is why we want to return to Chad. Our presence is greatly needed as Jim’s replacement leaves in March.

We have a felt need to be involved in our parents later years and our grandchildren’s early ones, so we are processing a duel assignment with Wycliffe. It will consist of six months in Chad and six months in Tucson working with the SIL Mexico office. In order to accommodate these special needs, Wycliffe has increased our ministry budget to reflect a rotation of six months in each location. We have seen a $400 monthly increase in our support since our last letter, for which we are very grateful. Our current monthly shortfall is $1,600. Wycliffe requires 100% of that be promised before we have authorization to leave. So, if you have been wondering when a good time to join our financial support team might be, well, now is a good time. But as always, your prayers, encouragement and advocacy are extremely important too. For information on joining our financial team, please click on the following link https://www.wycliffe.org/partner/1EE3AA.  or return the invitation card sent last Nov. If you prefer paper mail we’d be happy to mail you a new card.
