On the Road back to Chad
February 2015 is our target date for returning to Chad.
It took a long time for us to make the decision to return. We are thankful for His confirmation in our recent devotions. It was a reminder that the Lord called us, John 15:16, and when He calls us in another direction He will make it clear. It’s been a difficult decision for our family members to accept. With our parent’s ages, grandchildren growing so fast, and our bodies not getting any younger, we have decided it was best to change our work schedule to six months in Chad and six months in the USA each year. While in the USA we will be assigned to work for the Mexico branch office in Tucson, doing similar jobs to what we do in Chad. While in Chad, I, Jim, will be facility maintenance manager and Judy will be helping with the HR or guest house department depending on the need.
Right now our main Wycliffe work is building our partnership team. Wycliffe requires that we have a large enough partnership team of people and churches to provide 100% of the monthly ministry budget set for our Wycliffe ministry before we can be released to return to Chad. Currently we are at 70%. Building our partnership team involves writing letters, visiting friends and current partners, speaking at Bibles studies, Sunday schools, churches, etc. and inviting more to join our Wycliffe ministry team. We have been encouraged by the love and support we have received from our team during our last 2 years in Chad and 30 years of ministry with Wycliffe. We desire to be an encouragement back to them, as much as they have been to us. If you would like us to come share about how God is working in Chad please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 520 268-3681
If we have your mailing address we will be sending you our newest prayer card for posting on your refrigerator, or where ever you may place them. If you are not certain that we have your mailing address, please email it to us and we’ll mail you a prayer card.
While in Chad, we try to communicate at least monthly with updates by blog or by email. If you only read about us on our Blog and you would like to get more frequent updates on our prayer needs, then send us your email. We also Skype when we can: judy.mccabe5. In Chad we are 5-8 hours ahead of the US time zones.
We thank God for all of you; Phil 1:3
Jim and Judy McCabe
